The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) gives fruit to a child

Whenever the Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) came across the first fruit of the season, they would present it to him. On seeing it he would recite the following dua:


      ''Oh Allah grant us blessings in our fruit, grant us blessings in our city and grant us blessings in both our large measures and small measures of weight. Oh Allah verily Ibrahim (a.s.) was your servant, Rasul-messenger and friend. He prayed to you to bless the land of Makkah. O Allah I am also your servant and Rasul-messenger, I also ask you to bless Madeenah and increase its blessings.''


He would then call the youngest child in the gathering and present the fruit to that child.
